Wise Words of a Pathology Professor
Each Pathology class I have been writing down all of the curious statements that come out of my Professor's mouth. This blog is not at all created out of malicious intent, the professor is actually quite hysterical. His somewhat random and peculiar humor fits in brilliantly with the dry lecture material. Hearing these statements in context is always a treat, and I hope that the humor is not lost without it. Enjoy!

Aging
As we were discussing joint problems my Professor asked the class a very tricky question. "Am I elderly," he said. I am pretty sure none of us said anything loud enough for him to hear, and most of us didn't nod or shake our heads because then he said, "I can see you all mentally nodding, but you have great postural control."
boiling his bizatch
After asking about an upcoming exam my Professor responded with, "[The exam] won't be like Another Professor's questions, you know, A and B, B and C, A and C but not B... Well, I heard he was boiling my bizatch in front of the grad students so I can do it to him here, but don't tell him.... Now you're all going to tel him. No no, it'll be our little secret."
pulmonary embolism
While discussing the path of a fat emboli my Professor said to the class, "Where does it go next? ...The brain? ...Impossiblé! It cannot get to the brain, it goes to the lungs and you get a pulmonary embolism!"

Broken Bones
"This is what happens when Blaire breaks her forearm- well, her name isn't really Blaire, but you'll be glad it was Blaire rather than you."
Fore the record, Blaire is a student in our class who had a broken wrist at the time. He was describing an instructional video where a girl breaks her arm.

My Professor on Osteoarthritis
"I don't know if it's a disease or just a consequence of being born."
